Post-Mohs Surgery Eyelid Reconstruction
The eyelid may be affected by skin cancer, most commonly basal cell carcinoma. Although these tumors are usually slow growing, the best treatment is to remove the lesion in its entirety. Removal may be performed in conjunction with a dermatologist who specializes in the Mohs technique. This technique ensures microscopic confirmation of tumor removal while preserving as much normal tissue as possible. Following removal, Dr. Hui will reconstruct your eyelid and help you to achieve the best functional and cosmetic outcome possible. Dr. Hui has extensive experience in eyelid reconstruction following Mohs surgery and has authored several book chapters on the subject.
